A Wake-Up Call to Conscious Conception
With Deepest Regard
For the Family Involved

Two innocent souls are departed
due dynamics tragic beyond measure;
the first an unconscious conception
lured by the second's fanciful
exploring of carnal pleasures.

The young couple "hoped"
they had it handled--
no need to alarm Moms and Dads--
no need to become parents themselves
and spoil the fun. . .they had.

But this pill did not perform
as they had planned--
this RU-486--
suddenly horrible bleeding
and a fragmented fetus
fumbled in the mix.
So, the American Fantasy lied,
and Truth belied
as the baby was torn apart,
and by massive infection. . .
she died.

Now we are all to blame
for this deadly game
in which we coach our children
about sex. By agreeing
to "not disagree,"
by endless commercialization,
and the ease purchased
at the corner Rx.

In our world squeezed
by overpopulation
as aging pines
for The Fountain of Youth,
it is HIGH TIME for Conscious Conception
coaching our kids in Nature's Truth
that those impulses lead to babies;
as sobering as that might be--
pacing their sexual adulthood
by their readiness for a family.

Some say it cannot be done--
progress cannot be taken back.
But it is not the "voodoo"
of contraception,
it is cultural resolve humanity lacks.
For, if we are to remain
atop Nature's chain,
no longer swinging
through her trees,
we cannot continue to do battle
with Death,
while disrespecting new Life
for sexual ease.
