It was my second stay
In the hospital,
Suffering from depression
Twenty-seven I was-
Walking the hallway
Looking into rooms
Nurses were not to be seen
One room I walked into
A guy was sitting on his bed
He motioned me to come by him
I stopped-
Did not hear that voice inside-
Cautiously approaching the bed,
He grabbed me and I emitted
A shrilling scream-
His hand was pressed against my mouth
Only recollection I had,
Was a thrusting twice...afterwards
My mind left me
As though, I was in a dark corridor
Nurses came and I could not
SPEAK-
By the time I left the hospital
I had forgotten the rape
It was never reported-
My memory of it...was twenty years later
Women out there: God forbid if you are ever raped, report it! Get that person
off the street before he rapes another.
Remember rape has nothing to do with SEX
and everything to do with POWER!!
