Love’s Aurora

The more one experiences
What tradition brands as love
The more one realizes
Passion’s essence has been barely scratched

Like the northern lights’ aurora
Love transcends once accepted labeling
For not until the charged particles of tempest’s mindscape
Roils in the wind of eruption’s fragments
Can one know the storm-generated-rainbow
Inherent therein

In that we presume is simple flowers and fragrance
Resides emotion’s own ionization of light
Asking the mind and heart to observe
To truly see and accept the causal processes

For to not pursue this truth
Is to delude oneself into the next
Level below where one has been
Sinking further and further into
Mediocrity of understanding
Ultimately coming to rest in
Love’s flesh obsession
Known to the knowable
As obsolescence
