Even though
his/her flesh may suggest
a knowledge of the other…

Even as
his/her hands traveling incognito
over a skinscape of rewarding harvest,
where fragrant enticement
shrouds his/her senses with amour,
there persists
unrecognized signposts,
warnings hidden
by insecurity's
bramble and bush.

The recycled lesson
remains the “tonight of all nights,”
a sunlight in the darkened wine glass of vintage knowledge
arranged for blissful forgetfulness…
