A Blow Pop for you too.
Suck through the sugared coating
and chew,
chew,
chew.

There we are
saliva's pleasure is advised,
that moment when swallowing the sweetness
conjures up but more solution
for kneading the chewy potion
into workable and persuasive attention,
filling the bubble of one's labors
with vacuous noisy potential until…

Pop.
Stick.
Mess.
Miasmic aftermath.

Hold on.
That's not me, we say
while assigning the mucous of guilt to others.
No.
No.
No.
We don't partake in frivolous decay.

But, let he who has never indulged a candy man's persuasion
show his pearly virtue devoid of such erosion
and we'll introduce him to his clones of denial,
the delusional ones lining up behind closed doors to receive
their brain’s cosmetic fix,
to once again
indulge their addiction to
media’s candy man.
