Accepting 1+3=1
This kitchen's one cup,
one spoon,
serving one man's finger stirring
and a dollop of cream.
Atop the counter,
three visiting ants
pass beneath a French Press,
seeming separate,
seeming alone,
seeming aimless,
wandering about the cup,
such a mutual landscape.
How barren the cold marble
for those so distant from the nest
that their seeking antennae wander about
seeking the touch of one another,
assuring their reality's connection
that all is well.
For in a world of increasing isolation,
until man’s oneness with nature and fellow man is accepted,
the visitors,
the cup,
the coffee with cream,
everyone’s swirling un-resolve will continue,
struggling to stir darkness into disappearance,
forever denying the light that inevitably rises into a dawn
a way to illumination,
a realization that all = 1,
including the ants.
Patience willing.
Love ya!
