To Die Toward a Beginning

We often hear “there’s so much to live for.” Sadly, few consider the “so much” principal they live for isn’t projected past what they think is the end. (Image by pinterest)

To Die Toward a Beginning

To die of empty purpose,
to feel one’s last breath,
as if extermination were bliss,
the closing of vacuous life

is to…

How sentient the passing for some,
where remnants of consciousness
forever etched in a canvas of choice,
remain a poem
a letter
a painting
a symphony
drifting not into oblivion,
but remaining suspended as awareness.

Hence…

This departing option,

gratifying for those being here now,
believe living depends not on
accumulated decorative identity,
but nurturing the heart and mind’s consummate potential

for kindness and understanding.

Could it be…

Living a life of imaginative risk
not only empowers deep healing
but defends spirit against oblivion?

Some call it enigmatic,
others frame such mindfulness
as deliverance from false reality,
accepting neither mortality’s curse
or existence that ends.

Intrinsic to Nature’s grand design,
creativity’s essence knows not limitation,
keeping its ultimate purpose
an ever-challenging mystery of allowance.

To remain part of creation,

might one need to remain at the beginning

until the next cycle of end returns

and lifts life’s essence swirling upward

toward something starting anew?

This is so thought provoking, Odin! Everybody and everything goes through a metamorphosis. A different form. A new beginning! Yes! We all are here "To Die Toward a Beginning". Great write!

Love ya!

To die toward a beginning is to live for enlightenment. And if enlightenment means to understand an ever-changing and expanding universe, we are all in for a very long ride. That's a difficult concept to grasp, but nobody does it better than you.

Perhaps I read too hastily, but I believe that you are trying to say that there is something beyond our mortal death. It has been theorized many ways like reincarnation, deliverance, and even a ghostlike existence or essence that hangs around, friendly or not.

Or, you could be talking about what I like to think as, "the shoulders of giants." Each of us in our lifetime, contributes to the whole. Coming generations of humankind should have some benefit from the previous generation other than just their genes. So, it would behoove us to try to accomplish something during our very short life that will contribute to the future. That is the least we can do. And, it is too late to reflect on it when we are elderly. We must do it all our lives.
