Your poem seems to describe the daily cycle of so many caught up in the wage slave syndrome where they never get ahead and never contributed anything to history. Only doing things that are easily forgotten except in nostalgic sitcoms of everyday life deemed funny when looked at closely.

But your comment and quote about history might not be so true. Wikipedia, with the possibility of everyone on the planet with an Internet connection contributing, can much more accurately remember even if an individual destroyed all records of his/her past in the process of living a dogged life that somehow became important enough to be reported by this wonderful research format that surpasses both dictionaries, history books, and paper bound encyclopedias.

Your poem so apt in today's moody, depressing ambiance with all the negative news (social distancing thru 2022?) I especially like the invocation of "slow moving clock" (indeed), and "empty house" (how about empty room but me). Our trials and the times can sometimes bring out the best in us. Thanks for posting.
