One’s Mental Palette
How capricious stimulation.
How rebellious simple reactions.
How short the spell of normality.
Such is the state of creation.
Whether in New York City
Or the Kalahari Desert,
One in a hundred
Deal with manic depression.
Yet…
Ancestral humans of inordinate creative energy
Proved fearless in the face of the unknown,
Non-hesitant and adroit at problem-solving,
Making others uncomfortable at times
With their grandiose and self-promotional bent,
Demonstrating they had at least
Pelt-clad limbs ready to be
One up on their commonplace contemporaries.
No wonder…
One’s mental palette of
Colorful emotions undefined for many
Find the heart and mind list to starboard
Back to portside routine
Bring blinding swells of creativity,
And on returning to even keel,
Distill paradox into challenging aerobic artistry,
New discoveries of one’s mental palette of life’s hidden treasures.
From your prose, I would gather it is bipolar people with their manic, highly productive and creative genius that comes up with most of the new ideas that we follow. Thinking about it, I would say you are right.
