Mankind’s uncertainty finds its way
From congregate to congregate unknowing,
Just as a simple tidepool ripple
Passes its shudder back out to sea,
Knowing not if the next wave
Will contribute to the continuum of life.
So must there be a calming rest stop
To await its next challenge
Of quivering unpredictability
Destined to cause thinking,
To create appreciation,
For regardless of outcome,
Lessons happen,
Especially where caution is exercised
And unpredictability affords surprising considerations.
Our intertidal-like mind and heart zone
Understands the ebb and flow of knowledge,
Always respectful of ripples
That might surge into a swells
Of wisdom.
