Individuality As 2025 Resolution
To listen and hear
To look and see
To inhale and note fragrance
To savor and taste
To touch and feel
Senses remain at the ready
Yet…
Many have forfeited their individual sensorily alert self
To become but subservient to others
Let not that which enables our learning, thoughts, and feelings to become potential wisdom
Cower in slavery to the have-nots
To fear retribution for being an individual
Is to never stop running from oneself
Dare to be you
Accept you will not satisfy everyone
Revel in the thought that
You own yourself
And only you
Have the keys to unlock one’s truth
An individual ownership of the self
Often thought to be a beacon in the wilderness
Knowing one can remain safe in the danger of servitude’s avalanches
When relying on wisdom
The GPS sentinel of life
Remaining one’s rescuer
Always.
