For my grandmother.
Grandma, Do you have any cookies? Just for you. Grandma, How come you always smile when I come in? Because I'm happy to see you. Grandma, How do you make bread? With lots of hard work. Grandma, How come you laugh when we tease you? Because it's funny! Grandma, Did you see General Hospital today? Oh, boy, did I! Grandma, Can you tell me some stories about Grandpa? You bet I can! Grandma, How long were you and Grandpa married? It seems like forever! Grandma, How did you find time to have 13 children? I put 'em outside and locked the door! Grandma, Can you speak another language? I certainly can! Grandma, How are you feeling today? Like I want to go home. Grandma, Will you be here when I come back? Where will I go? Grandma, Are you really, really tired? Yes, I am. Grandma, How do you say 'I love you' in Czech?

This is a wonderful and insightful revelation of a grandmother's love. Of course, I'll never be a "grandma." But one thing I get to experience every day is being a great-grandfather. If and when that day comes, my friends, you'll find it a startling event. It makes you want to grab the newspaper and check the obituary column for surely you must be listed there somewhere.

LOVE it! I am the grandmother of a glorious 3-year old grandson. The questions! giggle...he is the light of my life! I really enjoyed this poem. I think every grandmother would.

A lovely expression of love for your grandmother, Gean. Since my parents moved to Canada from France before I was born, I never did meet any of my grandparents. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,
