This poem is from my new book "Remaining Calm." This poem is my mode of living. It expresses me completely.
Don't think I'm o.k. just because I smile in your face. Don't think I don't care, just because I haven't combed my hair. Don't think I don't mind that you staring me down. Don't think I won't lie or give you the run around. Don't assume I'm always sweet, because truthfully I'm hell. Don't think I'm always right, although I do mean well. Don't think I'll take too much drama, because wrong you would be. Don't you dare assume anything, unless you heard it from me.

Very well spoken and delivered! There is a lesson in this poem for all of us--that is, the consequences of assumptioon can be dire,indeed, and can be summarized in the following quote: "To assume makes an as* out of you and out of me." It is definitely reflective of truth!
