Somber dense gray clouds
Pelting raindrops drown all sound
Water running everywhere
To nowhere
Collection pools overflow
Into rivers wild

Pelting raindrops sink deep within
Flooding Earth's last redoubt
Drenching its weary Soul

Refuge sought
In vain

nice gaia poem. i like reading modern poets updating, reviving
& interpreting the different ancient cosmologies of the goddess.

Great one Carolyn! Sometimes it seems all the planets elements are out to get us, yet after the "great flood" in the bible god said there would never be another to cover earth, and the rainbow is his covenant promise to that fact. Gives us something to think
