~Connection~

 

Soggy morn of gloom

Silent birds cast eerie spell

Days of gray loom large

 

Search Within called forth

Deep reflection clears the Mind

Daylight's dim lends calm

 

Blinding mist hones Sense

Creativity's repose

Nothingness fecund

In Zen, the empty mind is the full mind...or thought to that effect and that final "Nothingness fecund" is spot on in that context; 'fecund' - not a word i much like usually, hard in sound - is perfect here, brave of you, Carolyn, to use it. Within the grey day, a true calm, you see the possibility of creativity as you call upon inner forces...this is a glorious concept, a glorious poem.
