Dedicated to my young nephew, Tony McGovern, who is currently deployed to a base in northeastern Afghanistan called Camp Joyce, near the Pakistani border. In a recent email, he noted the exceptional brilliance of the star-studded nightsky. I recall a visit, so long ago, to the wilds of northwestern Kashmir where billions & billions of stars shone above--it was truly breathtaking. Here's to Tony; may he stay safe!
