This is a poem about a composite of all the people I work with who have severe mental illness.A tribute to them
Do you see me? Do you see me? I am the woman who has these voices that talk in my head,but I want to talk to you To you Can you see me? Can you hear me? I want love just like you I want to be understood and have a place to live where I feel safe Just like you Please remember me If you aren't able to be with me, or to afraid to talk to me, will you pray for me?

Its important for people to reach out to those who suffered from mental illnesses and be able to understand their struggle and to hear their cries.A well written poem,take care

Hello Cindy,

This poem is everybody's cry nowadays. We are so busy and occupied with our own live, we fail to "see" and "listen" ...sometimes even to those close and near to us.
