Enhanced original charcoal by Julianza Shavin

Okay, here is another "slam" poem -- and I do mean SLAM. This poem should be shouted out above acid rock jazz, or as in slam, without music. I have added emphasis to show the beat more clearly, in some places, or run words togetherlikethis. My diagnosis was Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia, very poorly understood and I was, well, dismissed and...you'll see... by my own kin (and also, many doctors), until much time passed.

Embedded is a inside joke: my sister and I have always referred to our brother as our mother's favorite daughter. It is not a gender thing (he is straight), but an emotional thing.

Anyway, please do not judge my poetry based on this poem. I sprinkle these in for variety and fun.

My speculation at the end that now it's something "real," is just that. There is something wrong for which I need more tests (and my family is indeed being swallowed by cancer (see reference in Cat's Jaw") but so far I'm afraid to go and find out anything for sure. So for now, you're still stuck with me.

                       Blame the Vic

Let's blame the victim, victim, VICTIM,

with a load of bashing dictum!

What a job you did, I was sick Ma, sick,

and you came at me with sticks

you thought it was a shtick

“she's a la -zy, la – zy, a rag doll

a cra-zy, the writing it'ssohazy

Diagnosis? What a sham! she's avoiding

pots and pans! She is such a lousy mother

Too bad there's not an other

Why just look upon her brother!

It's a shame, sham, shame, it's a

gig, gag, game!”

Do it quick do it slick, do it every way you can

lay it thick like spam, quick fix, slam bam!

Only now it's Real, a respect'able, name

And I see you all aflame with tyrannosaurus tears

After ALL THESE YEARS!

But don't come 'round 'cause

I've had it with your sound

I've had it with your trust

In “Invalidate or Bust”

Don't shove me kindly chattah.

'cause now it doesn't mattah

those tears aren't what they oughta

there ain't nuttin' there but wattuh,

didn't trust your flesh & blood

so just DAM(n) that flood!

I was sick Ma sick.

and the words you had to pick!

You wanted flying I was crying

turned your back, cluck, click

Can't boot the clock, toc tic,

Here I go, the vic is goin'

Now it finally is showin',

happynow?don'thaveacow!

just kick the vic, toc tic

prepare the gate, toc tic

Diss the doc, tic toc

So sick slack sick,

Hell, I'm iminently ash

I'll be gone in a flash!

BLAME THE VIC!!!

You got the letters to compose and the musical notes to write... ( Am I backwards?) ... "Blame the Vic".

I like the style, the contents and the messages in "Blame the Vic".
