"Family Sties," acrylic, by Julianza Shavin Ok, dagnabbit. This piece, along with Jigsaw, I submitted to a magazine whose theme this time was Toys, Puzzles, and Games. I have a feeling it meant something more light-hearted. If you have a light heart to spare, send it COD, express. After this, happy poetry. Need variety or you'll all trash me. I actually have quite the sense of humor. Would you know it? I just, at this time, need someone to send me some bottled happy (again, COD, express) to imbibe, sniff, snort, roll, or just surgically embe d. Much obliged.

We Spake The first star splays its sterling fingers. There is a tempest in the house, one already down, wrestling demons in fevered dreams. I forget where I put my heart. How to sleep, beatless? Both souls are on the lam yard-sale lullabies over-gummed playthings I could check the toy-chest, huge lip hoarding old times, musty dolls' toes curled comfortably most likely, for eternity. We spake and the angels sang of yardsale lullabies
and we slipped into the toychest and turned the key.
Now where did that come from? Perhaps from some bottle.
