A WOMAN LIKE ME…
I may give my body for just one night,
But to capture my heart you must stand up and fight.
Battle the parts of me that hold no trust.
Fend off the demons that have pledge me so much.
My past I laid to rest,
Realizing that I deserve nothing but the best;
I’ve learned how to move on and love myself.
Confidently using my charm to make any man I want melt.
Can they convince me to take a chance?
Shower me with affection and romance?
I’m not looking for love,
Not sure if it will ever find me.
I have almost given up on the possibility.
If you’re determined, then we shall see.
But for now I’m content with not being the only one.
My life has just begun.
Enjoying my freedom and having some fun.
Maybe someday a man will come along.
I hope he is patient and strong.
Hope he can break through my wall and find the pieces of my heart.
I left it broken, scattered in parts.
And if I’m worth it to him, then he will search until he finds,
Every last piece and prove that I should make him mine.
But until that day I will stay devoted only,
To my children,
Who are the only ones to ever love me unconditionally.
I am a mother above every other hat I may wear.
Anyone wanting to get close to me must accept that or else disappear.
Getting through to me is a challenge, but trust me I am worth the chase.
What I offer, can never be duplicated or replaced.
You get a woman willing and able to satisfy your every need.
