Life’s many questions

So many times I’ve wondered

What would it be like if…..

Do I really want to know?

What if I had gone to a better college?

Would I have my beautiful children?

What if I hadn’t married?

Would I have been happier?

Or would I have the feeling of
something missing?

Should I have married my high school sweetie?

Or should I have waited till I dated more?

If I had waited, would I be happy with who I ended up with

Or would I wish I had taken the chance?

Do I love my husband so much because I hadn’t had many other choices

Or does the love I feel for him genuinely run deeper for him than it would for any other?

Is he my soul mate

Or not?

Do I think he is

Or do I know ?

Back to college….

If I hadn’t had any kids when I did

Would I have a good job now

Instead of nothing at all?

Will I ever have a job that makes me proud

And feel self reliant?

If money was no issue….

Would I open my own massage place

Or a book store?

Start a library

Or simply write?

Will any of these questions ever get answered

And if they do, how do I know they are the right answers?

Is it normal to question your marriage

Your kids

Your career (or lack thereof)

Your life?

It may be normal but is it normal so young?

Is it normal to question it daily?

I’ve changed since high school (a mostly happy time for me)

Did I change as life changes

Or did I change for others?

How do you tell?

Will any of us ever know the answers to our questions

Or will we forever question life

Or am I the only asker?
