A composition reflecting how the magnificence of nature can enlighten the soul of man and raise it to ecstatic heights and fill it with divine pleasure where the entire universe is quietly absorbed within oneself.

It’s nice to let these hours pass

With their own slow and lingering gait;

And it’s pleasing to my earthly senses

Just to watch and wait:

To watch the ongoing arts and crafts

And the handiworks with which

Nature dresses or undresses

On its massive endless pitch;

To watch the motions or the stillness

Which fill the vacuum space

Of passing time with charms and magic

Through every moving phase;

To watch the sunrays spray their colours

On the canvas of the earth,

And help me create in my soul

An amazing wonder-art.

AND then to wait, -- and wait I must,--

To absorb and feel in me

The rhythms of the universe

And the vibes of infinity;

To wait for all that I have been

Longing all along

To open all my senses to

Hear life’s resonant song;

To wait for just that single moment

Which fills the entire human mind

Where divinity quietly steps inside

And the universe slowly trails behind.

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
