My eyes are burdened with sleepless nights
And restless days which cause
My life to wear out inch by inch
Without a single halt or pause,
In course of the journey, I hardly find
Time to watch your sky
And find an answer to that priceless question:
“Who am I ?”
And the span of time is shortened slowly
As life proceeds to greet
Its creator at the other end
At the unknown final meet
Where the question again shall haunt it, but
With a vastly different hue
For, at the confrontation, the asking is:
“Who are You?”
And in the awe-filled cycle of life and death,
The answers shall remain ever due
To the eternal questions from the lips of man:
“Who am I and who are You?”
Let us therefore glance at least
Once in our lifetime at the sky
And search for an answer to the questions:
“Who are You?” and “Who am I ?”
The poet feels that inch by inch without halt the time is passing by.Without his knowledge he comforts, supports others. God is watching us He is invisible but we can trust in him. We are not alone. He is with us whereever we live around the world. We can be certain that God, the Creator, stretches his hand to guide and enlighten us,gives us strength for our daily struggles and helps us until the unknown final meet.
I am very thankful to meet this devotional, spiritual Friend in equation to share and search for an answer to this priceless question "Who are You?" and "Who am I?" Let us therefore glance together at the sky, asking for grace, mercy, peace of mind. Let the light shine bright to enjoy the beauty, enrichen us, give us strength to overcome the difficulties and worries to support and be patient to those who need our help and support.
Thank you my dear Friend

This is beautiful and good meter with a strong voice.
A lot of religious poetry seems too sing songy and trying to make a statement ignoring the need to develop a fluid read.
This poem works on many levels.
Thank you, ~D.
