Wake up my love. Come face the dawn.
Valentine's Day has come and has gone
But my love for you will always remain
Like the lines of a lovely haunting refrain.
The years meander, they wait for no one
They care very little whether we're done.
But as long as the two of us hang on together
It matters little what storms we must weather
We walked together, two steps at a time
We walked together to the wedding bell chime
May togetherness bless us for many more years
But when the time comes, don't shed salty tears.
We've seem many good times, may we see many more.
But when the time comes, when death knocks at the door
May we answer his call, whoever goes first.
For we've both lived full lives, we've both quenched our thirst.
