Thanksgiving Day
Is hard to beat
With all those yummy
Things to eat.
This year, my friends
It is my plan
To stuff myself
Like any man.
Punkin pie
And ice cream stew,
Along with pudding,
Mince meat too.
For you might guess
I like my sweets.
I'm really thankful
For those treats.
But lest my
Gluttony prevail
I'll send a check
Into the mail.
It's only fitting
That I pause
And try to help
Some worthy cause.
So others might
Quite thankful be.
May they enjoy
This day on me.
