An acrostic poem

Will I ever get it right or am I doomed to fail each time?
On and on I press toward perfection in all I do; is this a crime? 
Never quite reaching my goal, though I do at times, have some minimal success. 
Do I need to obtain perfection in an imperfect world of settling for less? 
Ever changing, ever moving, no matter what, I strive to be the best.
Rejected at my worst, honored at my best, I will keep trying until my last breath.
