This brings to mind the many shoes that my father use to wear as he hiked the country trails.The art of walking sometimes seems faded.Great poem.

For me this seemed out of place. The entire vibe of the poem itself really suggested to me that it would have much more suited for a haiku format to justify the length and it would have forced you to really work for each line to individually mean something while still supporting the overall meaning of the work. To me, it was a very relateable topic which is cool, but I just felt like the metaphor was too straight forward for its own context. These quick snappy poems are entirely hit or miss in the sense that either that have to just bleed emotive technique and feeling or they have to be very thought provoking, while this just was all there. Sorry, I'm sure it's just a personal prefferense kind of thing. Nice poem, just not really my style.

they make new paths

So do I! Comfort and character taking precedence over flash now. New shoes can give you blisters, but once worn in they can be like old shoes, too. And those blisters can teach us. Enjoyed Rosemarie...
