I've always tried to do my best 

and many times, I must confess. 

I failed to see, that I've been blessed, 

just to be a man.

I love to work, I love to play, 

I love to live and love each day, 

but I'm not here to make a way, 

I'm only just a man. 

So I believe God gave His Son, 

to show His love for everyone. 

Good or bad, exceptions none, 

He's more than just a man. 

And that's enough for me to cling, 

to every word He's promising, 

'cause without Him, I'm not anything. 

I'm only just a man.
