The below poem is what I submitted;

MICHIGAN REFLECTION

February 9th of 64, right here in Michigan,

We gathered round the T.V. set, to watch Ed Sullivan,

When these four lads from Liverpool , caught us by surprise,

With music that we never heard, their long hair criticized,

We loved their songs, we loved the beat, like nothing else before,

Our parents didn’t care for it, but we kept wanting more,

So jump ahead just 50 years, reflect and understand,

The Beatles changed this state we know, by holding just our hand.
