Another poem helping me to relieve my cooped up feelings towards an ex.
Winter has made it's entrance to the air.
I've looked back at the changing of the seasons.
I've thought, "Summer left too soon, and
Sometimes I feel that you did too."
The snow coverd cement beneath your feet;
Sucking the warmth from between your toes,
Is a sign for you to f***ing move. Move on!
Your heart is iced over and barely beating.
How convenient that it matches the tempo
Of the breath leaving your lips as a cloud.
No silver-lining remains. No more silver-linings.
All you have left is your lies of white.
As well as the skies above your slumped head,
Your eyes have transitioned gray. You..
You are unique now, you can no longer hide.
There's a headstone made in your honor laced in snow.
This shall be the last place you will ever flee to.
Your bed, a layer of fire colored leaves covered in ice.
Your pillow on which to rest your thoughtless head;
A geometric rock with your name inscribed on it.
Your blanket, a foot of frozen snow.
In the spring the robins will feed your defrosting
Eyes to their young, and the most beautiful of
Forbidden orchids with grow from your chest.
