Deep down within my heart is this terrible pain.
As I look upon my children standing out in the rain.
Without an umbrella nor coat upon their backs.
Wandering this world of sin and ignoring all of the facts.
Night after night they stay away,
All I can do is pray.
Walking the floors night after night.
Hoping one day they will see the light.
The thunders roar- the lightening flash
My heart flutters with so much fear.
I can’t find rest from night to night
As long as my children aren’t near.
The tears flow hard as the days go by
And still the children are gone.
The tears flow like a broken dam
As this mother buries her soul.
