A Whispering Storm

Adoration clings to the outskirts
Of all I embrace in you
Roqueted in the perils
Of my wavering defenses

Secluded in the corner are those words
That I cast across the room in anger
Left unheard by your heart
You slide your arms around me

Like a dim light, I am overcome
Rolling on the sea
In the middle of a twilight storm

Left not for eyes to see
I hear you whispering
In all the rain that is falling

I am drenched in the soft touch
Of your fingertips
Lost somewhere in the middle

Keep me safe tonight between the words
Where everything Is seen and heard
Truth shines bright and strong
As the love you galvanize in the embers of passion

I surrender
to everything that makes us one
I will be steadfast always
Waiting with my hands out
My fear a passing thought

Like a child running free
In the innocence
Of your whispering words
