Why must the nice ones feel the most pain?
Whether it be in the body, the heart or the brain,
Why can’t the nice ones be happy and free?
God in your mercy won’t you please let this be?
Let the bad and the evil ones suffer your wrath,
And allow the pure hearted to know how to laugh,
I ask this for others, I don’t ask it for me,
For I’ve done my fair share of terrible deeds,
Been thoughtless and selfish and acted from spite,
Done things for my own ends, I knew wasn’t right,
But the nice ones are different, they’re a whole other breed,
They don’t act out of selfishness, envy or greed,
You know in your wisdom that they act out of love,
It’s your Angels on earth Lord that I’m speaking of,
Those people among us, the nice ones they’re called,
That would gladly help others without thought of reward,
The ones with compassion who will do what they can,
In easing the suffering of their fellow man,
So why must they suffer like the rest of us do?
When their hearts are pure, their emotions are true ,
And they’re doing good deeds, often in your precious name,
Yet they don’t ask for glory, for wealth or for fame,
Creator of all things, I humbly beseech,
Bring joy, love and hope,
And happiness to each.
Amen

sensitive soul and your heart of Gold.
I think your friend would indeed, count you,
as 'an angel.'Your poem is beautiful.
Love always to you,Sally, and all the family.
From,
Kay.
Even as the nice people are enduring trials, you've probably noticed that their concerns are about everyone else, trying to comfort us, encouraging us, and smiling through the storms of life. I think this is part of their purpose in life--they receive comfort from God in their trials, so that they can pass it on to others.
A very moving poem!
