read a poet/a poem &...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
to a poet, mentor, friend-- w/care
how did
your words, pain-full
make one feel enough to
weep, seek something to throw, and throw
and throw...
how can
words, just words? ARE
THEY?
how could they f***ing
slit an other's soul raw -- poet's
words? ...words...
words spoke
through and somehow
broke and bled the truth of
how many? words from depths unknown --
words -- truth?
Words Raining Down... and sometimes the hail hurts. Well expressed Michele!
Ah yes, words, they have the power to bless or to curse! Once launced we cannot recall, and once heard, cannot be silenced.
Some fall to the ground void of power and absent of truth, while others prick the very core and hub of heart.
For it is our words that history shall recall in rememberance , so may we cast them softly and reverently,in earnest passion, and may truth always be found glimmering upon the pages of parchment that we stain with our heart's tears.
Because words are fatal,
felt, delivered,
they become the loose limbs
of a strangled song,
become the breath
from which life emerges.
Opacity occurs
like an epiphany
and we are left as open-mouthed
as children in our wonderment
for indeed words hurt
like no other.
Yes they are incredibly powerful the words of the poet's sword. As usual you say so much so powerfully in so few words.
