alone....bleeding needy

the words came out and so, it just is... well, what it is!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
pain
perhaps, has
taken a toll
writhing words
lost, among themselves
cluttering roil
heart-breaks, again
and yet, again as the same story
continues. relentlessly unfolds
and as a needle, stuck,
on an old stereo
grinding static
and the same words, same music, the
same, same, same, old story
is grinding down my soul
repetition is gnashing the teeth
of my whole, as
I wonder why,
again, again, again
why
is it...
loneliness
gnashes the wisdom, gnaws the
lining of one's intestines,
eats away at one's ...what?
aging, aging?
aging
heart...
broken, simply by it's lacks
burdened with phantom wants
no one is allowed , no one is to...
is to be burdened, you see?
Bullshit, it's all about me
ego? no, just a hole, a deepening fear
that she's dug too deeply
and can't get out
Listen can you understand that I am now
going to have to stop this
stop this ...stop what I am doing...
I am not always who...
I am not ever, I Can't
get Out!
and you see, now,
the pity and the
shouting and the tears,
arid...
and caught at the back of
the throat-- of this throat,
whining it's ache
and should you
see this, please
don't, don't you pity me
it's nothing but
a
passage
nothing
but
a passage
of words in strange lines
passages that
are stuck
as stuck
as stuck as
stuck
as the
needle on the arm
of the deafening stereo...
where
is this
coming from, why?
all I must do is learn to love...
yet, it can't be,
as I do not know, well,
know... how, see?
and if I would look around...
would I
allow another
to... show me?
been nowhere, done nothing
to make things
any much better,
any
much
anything...
do not cry,
do not shout, do not
come near her right now!
when will he, he,
when? and will he, any?
come near?
yes, spirit's broken,
doll-faced child within the lines
on the face
etched out pieces
of time passing and
nothing
nothing
really ever
done
no heart can be won if
nothing
ever really
done...
When you bleed, you don't play around. I love anaphora in poetry and you use it masterfully! This hits home: "...a deepening fear
that she's dug too deeply..." And you wanna rip out your hair, just scream 'n scream 'n scream....yup, just like that. Sending you positive vibes today, ship 'em back if you don't need them. {wink}
Micah your brilliant poetry shakes my emotions, can't hold the tears back. You make me experience things all over again for a brief moment in time.
Micha {{{{{{{{{{{{ Hugs }}}}}}}}}}}} Life isn't always love and joy.. And you have expressed so well here how so many of us have thought from time to time. There for a minute I thought you were in my mind. (smile) This is an excellent write!! Am so glad I stopped in tonight.
Michele,
I know well the swarthy nagging and biting of heart, I described it in Carla's,..... these demons if you please, that know no boundaries of decency! At the height of my torture however, I discovered and fell upon the sparked passion anew that sustains me in part this day.
As I bled and wept upon parchment so fare, my very soul and heart were ignited anew...
yes, I know well the enemies of soul that often stampede the very face of my bunny like heart. Yes, day in and day out! The parading and pounding daily within, as the enemy climbs and scathes the inside wall of my being.
I know well this fact in time also, I climb out daily, and catapult myself into the light that my parchment provides me, for it is there, where I meet my enemy daily, and conquer him as well, Yes, Each time I splash ink to parchment, I chose my own battlefield this time! Yes one of my own choosing, yes high and lofty ground, allowing me to ride saddled upon the hope and power of mere words, yes reflecting the resolute determination of my soul, heart and being, that I shall not be conquered again! For the light that arises from my penned words of heart, represent in part my very sword of soul.
I retreat in apology for my verbosity this day. And again, thank you four speaking my heart.
Peace,
Rodney Evan Bohen
