SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
I have no home, broke and hurt
You can see me on the streets in dirty clothes, roaming the
alleys and asking could you help a brother
Could you let me have a dime?
I do not think about tomorrow and what it will bring only that
I will be able to live through this day.
Lord I wonder what is my pay? What did I do or go wrong in life to
deserve this?
I plainly remember that I did what is right to all those who happened
to be part of my life and the stranger.
Why, why, why am I to be a spectacle in this arena of life?
Am I in a contest for life?
Is it a matter of survival of the fittest?
Many roles and lives I have to play each day.
Should I laugh or cry?
Should I roll over and die?
When I get to the cross in the road
When all my ammunition is out, do I reload?
Keep on going with savvy to be the grittiest
And adapt to lives situation in this survival of the fittest.
I look back over time to find that tomorrow is promised to no one
Live today no matter what your circumstances with thankfulness
that God has allowed another day under this rising sun
Remember that every day will have its ups and down
You can work you own miracles by turning things around
Do not fret and don’t back down you must pass the test
Put on your armor for survival of the fittest.
