FAITH
Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld…(Hebrews 11:1)
Faith is looking for a home in sub-zero weather when you don’t have a friend.
Faith is taking a step when you can’t lift a leg.
Faith is telling someone you love them when you know they don’t love you and hoping for a miracle.
Faith is trying to prospect for a gold mine situated on Mars and coming through impossible situations with a positive outcome.
Faith is the courage to pursue a college degree in Hieroglyphics when you can’t recite your ABC’s.
Faith is when you are broke, don’t have a job or the means to get one and yet you keep going.
Faith is when you’ve lost your friends and you know you’ve helped them get through trying situations and on their feet only to find out that when you need them they turn their backs on you making it hard when you don’t have no one to turn to, but you keep on going and never look back.
Faith is when you’ve been praying to God to help you for years and see no noticeable physical changes in your condition and you know that God has answered your prayers because you are still calling on him.

Your poem speaks so vividly of human trials and sufferings, and I would surmise that "as you keep going...you keep the faith" - but there is a difference between "true faith" and "presumption" or assuming that we are attuned to God's will. Romans 12:1 gives the key to that will:
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but BE TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing, and perfect will."
