A LOVER’S QUARREL
There are some things best left alone
Even though you might be right the truth will eventually be shone
To argue with your love one to establish what is true
Can set up a roadblock where love cannot get through.
A lover’s quarrel should be avoided at all costs and each other
try to please
This might sound weak but to keep each other you might have to
get down on your knees
It might be embarrassing to walk away to keep the peace but there is no shame
Go ahead even when you are right and humbly take the blame.
Open your heart up and do not flee
You’ll both be happy when it is over you will see
When your love has weathered the storm it is love to the highest degree
You’ve come to realize that if you don’t the love you share won’t be.
A lover’s quarrel is a hotline to show your love net is about to break
It needs mending and a lot of tender care it will take
You must take it slow before you pursue
or another quarrel will break your hearts right through.
What took you so long to get
Be careful you won’t do something you’ll regret
One slip of the tongue with an unsavory word
Can tear a loving heart apart the moment it is heard.
Just leave it alone
Turn your mind on better things and on your way be gone
Keep building on your love and put the quarrelling away
It will save what you fought for and let you both love another day.

Well written poem with some interesting points. However, I believe you should have the quarrel, be honest with each other, than have fun making up!
