feeling your movement inside me.
How I smiled...
knowing it was you.
And I thank God for my being there.

I remember when you came into this world...
the pain turned to a peaceful calm.
How I smiled...
seeing your for the first time.
And I thanked God for my being there.

I remember the first time I left you alone...
that feeling the emptiness not seeing you.
How I smiled...
when I came back and saw you.
And I thanked God, for my being there.

I remember the pain in my heart...
when I heard you where ill.
How I cried...
wanting it to be me and not you.
But, I thanked God for my being there.

Now I am here...
for you, my darling child.
I am here to smile when you are sad.
Here to hold you tight when you feel ill.
And still, I thank God for my being there.

I remember all my love...
from the time you fluttered inside me...
seeing your first steps...
seeing that smile which can melt the coldest heart.
And I thank God for my being here.

I thank him for allowing me to be your mother.
I thank him for giving you a heart so warm and full...
that all around you can feel.
I thank him for you... and you alone.
And I thank him for letting me be there.

I love you my darling one.
Know that I am here for you always...
watching you grow older each day.
And know I love you more with each passing day.

And for this my loving child...I thank God for letting me be there.
