Ok, this is very personal. I have written numerous poems about my experiences but this is the first to be posted, about this anyways.

Love and beauty
don't always go hand in hand
Flowers don't always mean
fresh and lovely smells
A man by your side doesn't
stand for safety and security
Your hair covering your eyes
doesn't mean that people can't see you
Life happens
Sometimes too fast to see
but never to fast to feel
No guarantees to be seen here
No sureity that you won't suffer
Noone really stops the men that
demean you and hurt you
Inflict their will on you
Take what you should only ever give
and at an age appropriate
They are free to do it
Over and Over
You can't hide
They always find you
Go to your corner
Quiet as a mouse
But you aren't invisable
The night finds you again
And so does he
No love
No beauty
No peace
No lovely smells
But he says he loves you
But you can't tell anyone
They can't ever know
You can't stop the ugliness
Noone seems willing to stop it for you
What can you do
You scream in your head all day long
You cringe
You shiver
Your mind is exhausted
Your biggest fear becomes the night
No love and beauty found there
No fresh smelling flowers
You cry and cry
Why is God punishing you
You pray and pray asking
his forgiveness again and again
Save me, Save me
You said you loved the little children
Where are you God
You have forgotten me
Then the nightmares come
The monsters hiding outside
in the dark trees
Waiting for you
Attacking others in your stead
Ripping off their heads throwing
them to the ground
Screeching and growling for you
Every night is a new chapter
It continues like a drawn out story
You can't walk outside at night anymore
You can't walk under trees.
You love trees
But now they are your enemy
No love or beauty here
One day you have had your fill
Your heart is broken
It can't take anymore
The pressure is overwhelming
Your body gives out
You fall to the floor in a dead faint
In the middle of school
your in the floor
They make you confide in them
and take you home
Home finds you no peace
No answers
He will stay
Everyone loves him so
What about me??
What about me??
He's left to try it again
You say no more
But now you have no home
Your so young and alone
Your mother says she loves you
Love and Beauty
don't always go hand in hand

You are a brave woman Rhonda
To find the courage to write about
a momstrous past as
But by doing so, some young lass
might read your work one day
and find the courage, to scream for help
An outstanding write to a heartfelt tale.

Rhonda, it's over now baby, now the hardest part begins, you have to come to terms with the aftermath. And not let it ruin the rest of your life. I know this because I have been there. I will keep you in my prayers.

This poem is so achingly real and emotionly wrenching that all who read it will feel the pain of that child and apploud you for you bravery in writing it.

My ex being abused from age 7. Is still in bondage to the pain it has inflicted. Not sure if her chains shall ever break.

To me this reads of someone who has been to the seventh circle yet is now at peace within herself. Of curse this is painful to read. But so very, very! brave to write. And in such a gentle and accepting way.

You must have gone through something I just cannot relate to.

Reading this my stomach churned and twisted with anger inside too.

The images and the school incident, I felt like I want to shout out help this girl someone, anyone!

Love and beauty can and should go hand in hand. May you find it and keep it. Never be robbed of it as you walk forward in life..
