The meaning of grandparents to me,
Says the words unconditional love.
It means sticking by your side, Loving you.
Giving a push and shove at all the right times. Knowing when and how to say "I love you".
To me my grandparents mean the world.
They show more love than can be imagined.
They love me for me, not the things I do.
They show the meaning of the word family.
They comfort when I need comforting.
They give me a hug when the tears are falling.
They try to heal the wounds and pains in
my heart, feeling them also.
They open their arms to me with kind words
to lift my spirit.
A soft touch for my heart.
That's what my grandparents are to me.
My granddaddy just died last month. He was 80. He was the greatest man I have ever known. I wrote a letter to him last year, though I knew he wouldn't understand it.[He had alzhimers]. The pastor read it at the funeral. I have never wrote anything as great as that, or that meant as much.
