I may not always agree with you
I may not always be able to be there for you
I may indeed have my own beliefs
about life, about love, about God and about us
But now that we are grown
have children of our own
I find it easy to be your sister
I like talking to you everyday
I like taking our kids together to play
I never knew that there would be this day
I always thought that when it came to me
You'd turn the other way
We don't look alike but
our blood flows the same
We are so like night and day
but there are those few pieces
of our character that says
"Hey we're sisters"
We have a bond that is
stronger than hate and
fear from the past
Noone can touch us now
We are finally free and now
I'm not alone anymore
I have a sister finally
A sister that I can love
Time nor space can change
what God made us.
No matter how near or how far
you are, you are my sister
