Channel the Mind of My Tired Feet 

Channel the mind of my tired feet

With the breath of your conscious pen

Write of a fertile ground

Where I can meditate and absorb the wind

Sketch a compass beyond the night

With the arrows pointing home

Hide the pathway with extra ink

Cause I just want to be alone

Scribble your pencil across the clouds

Maybe they will deliver some rain

I will swallow the powers of the water

And that should shield my mind from pain

Draw the sun waving to the moon goodbye

And of the cold sea bathing the ground

Pencil in my quenched feet

In case I have to turn around
