Faithful and True

There is no other Father and Lord
not in heaven, or earth, or deep ocean
Lord, we look at You
with devotion

Sacred is Your name
to me and mine
It won't be misused
by this humble servant of Thine

There's a time for action
When we do our best
and a time to revere
the day of rest

You tell us to honour
our earthly kin
our father and mother
as long as we will

Don't let us destroy
according to whim
the life and the world
Created by Thee

Neither my heart nor my eyes
will desire
the wife of my neighbour
his house or his attire
 

Stealing possessions or people's honour
is not on our list
faithful in truth
we shall persist

Gossips and prattlers
You cannot stand
"Just mind your business"
from us You demand

You teach us to love
and to always stay true
so... to ourselves and others
is what we must do

You give us plenty
and much, much more
and w promise to love You forever,
our Father and God
