Winter's Solace
Among bare hills
in winter winds
or by frigid waters
in deserted lakes,
I find a solace
warm spring glades can never bring. Rejoicing in a dazzle
of new blossoms in
the green glory of
emerging leaves is
only a fleeting moment
of nature's kindness.
.
No, my true st grace
isn't found in long,
easy breezes but
in January's howling
wrath as I battle her icy onslaught each
darkening day with
all my courage,
leaving little patience
for senseless sorrows.

Not confined or limited (untrammeled) kindness is something that is woefully lacking in this ego-centric society. An effective analogy Bennett - winter storms and our own mental and emotional and spiritual challenges. Yes! Your gift shines here!
