Deeply carved valley,
twixt ridges of
impossible ascent.
Silent Cedar sentinels,
steeped in heavy mist
provide ghostly reminder of
reverence due.
God's country --
it commands respect.
God's country extends all over this glorious globe, yet this reminds me most particularly of my snowy trip last February to The Grand Canyon: it's so true - enormity and vastness that is just too big to get the finite mind round DOES command respect. I reverently doff the cap and very much appreciate the strength of your compelling resolution. xx

Sounds like the High Country to me. Beautiful up there and neighboring stares. I would like to move there. Who know. Maybe someday. Better hurry though. Haha Lovely poem.
