Today is one of those days,
a cold, steady downpour
slaps fall colors into
early demise, while
sodden bushes hang
heavy as my heart.
Nature slumps her shoulders
and sighs.
Dallas, this is written so well. I could actually feel it...but the seasons change...this period is just a time of rest...at least that's what I tell myself!!

I love the rain and cloudy days for the most part, but I can understand how they can depress people . . . The sun will shine again . . . Have faith . . .

Oh boy. Sounds like Pacific Northwest weather to me. I get really depressed when it's like that. I used to live in Buffalo. The worst part about being there is you can only kill yourself once! That's why I moved to Southern California. Hopefully things will clear up soon. Thanks for the poetic weather update.
It is the same here. Take heart. You are not alone. Here it is snowing vs raining. My personal take is that life is a big slump, with brief periods of slumplessness. Try and write your way out of it today. I know - easier said than done. Spring is around some very long corner -- much longer where I live. I don't remember where you are. Hang in there. I'm in writer's block. I can't find a hatchet or pick-axe to smash out of this thing. Suggestions welcome - a gift for which I'd be thankful. julianza
