My Father And I, Picture Taken Halloween 1979

Can you guess which one is me ?

-->

With My Dad And Me

   Memories Of Halloween

It was my dad and me
In our costumes as you can see
Our halloween night, out on the town
This night, I could never turn him down

We started out this night in 79
All was well and we were feeling fine
It was door to door, having lots of fun
Sitting in our friends homes, drinking their rum
Not even one, ever figured out who we were
But it was some great fun, that is for sure

Attracted many strange looks
As the two of us, started out on foot
I then grabbed my cute date by the butt
Didn't know it , but I should have ducked
To my surprise I got hit with a purse
Yes she even let out a loud curse

What the heck's in that purse, I asked quickly
My date said what else, but two full mickeys
Two of the biggest kids, you have ever seen
It's now time, for us to come clean

The two halloween fools, that you saw
The ones drinking all your rum, with straws
Yes it was none other, than my dad and me
Just having halloween fun, as you can see

Thanks for the rum, and your hospitality
But most of all, thanks for the great memories

If you guessed that I was the Man in the picture
Then you were right

My father was the lady with the heavy purse
He had better legs than me

I guessed wrong. But you do bring back pleasant memories of trick or treating for beer in my post teen years. It helped that most of the neighbors were willing participants. Great poem and graphics. Patrick

Ray this is just too cute. So nice the
memories we have and have shared about
our Dads.

George you know good and well that dang
Buzzard has more loose screws than there
are hours in a day for me to tighten.
Besides it appears hes gone into hide'n
again... His carcus will rot in jail
He couldnt break his way out of a wet
paper bag. LOL....

Loved this Ray

Hugs and Love
