Dead Religion A religion with no cross or blood is a dead religion that is useless and vain It makes people think they are good, but to their sin they are still chained Satan uses religion to keep men's minds blind to their sin They see no need to repent since in their own eyes they have no sin within Some people like to quote their perceived religious figures instead of believing the Word of God that says "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" A dead religion is a religion that has no hope beyond the grave, but there is the blessed assurance of eternal life when you trust Jesus to forgive your sins and save Heaven and Hell are not something you conjure up in your mind The bible clearly states they are places you go, as you will find The heaven where I am going will be my eternal dwelling place, not because of anything good I've done but because I trusted Jesus to saved me by his grace It's only through the blood of Jesus that our sins could be atoned for So when we come to death's valley, which all must do, we may claim the precious blood and enter heaven's door Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Hebrews 9:27 For it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

thank you cindy...thiss can't be put before us enough. religion and religous are both such mistakenly used and understood words by most of us...your second verse says it all to me.

i fear for ron's soul and wish he could find the comfort that only comes from a reltionship wit Jesus...nice work

You speak of dead religion. Anyone who blindly follows religious beliefs has a mind that has lost its critical thinking. Hither that critical thinking? Did it go to heaven when it died?
