And... 'knowing' that God 'never' makes a mistake...we Press-on, amen.

Poem Artwork

From a babe…

I was homed in a selected cave

until the day I freely chose…a pot

And You tending, seeing chosen planks I'd pave…

stood aside and allowed me to …call the shots.

O Lord, this being true , considering You…

had the power to…make me…bend

Why allow…the painful turns and hews

with no awareness…that I had a friend?

Why lease, those repeated veers to our meeting…

indeed, the marked delay of our first greeting?

A tarry which dulled vision, shading higher precision…

which led me to accept the excuses of lude induces.

So much time was wasted…searching…lanes

looking for what I could not…name…

Pouring myself out on grievous asphalt

the scars of which are still an obvious result.

But these grievous questions that once lingered…

are now finally answered …in hindsight

within the bask of… Celestial Light

Here, one understands…all paths…were set intents

a necessary priming, which no detour did prevent.

Thus, my mind’s past perplexities are shredded

replaced with gratefulness… embedded ...

For Your unforeseen established hour

when my soul strode pass…

Yesterday’s vile stares…ignoring its glares

until…at last, hesitating somewhat

Not knowing quite what to say, albeit…

with no desire to turn and run away…

I, verily, gazed…

An Indescribable Peace, I had never known…

attired with an...Unfathomable Love, intricately sown…

Into Ancient Promises still to open, yet...those kept

O God, my Redeemer and Lord, I wept…

when first…I Saw You.

Enjoyed the imagery and message in this JMS Bell. "Selected cave" "a pot" "grievous asphalt" Had to smile. You've had your challenges too. Thankfully though, through His Truth, strength, grace, guidance, and love, your faith has made you an over-comer. There are no chains, shackles, or limitations in God's will for your life. We have the most incredible freedom in Him. I thank Christ every day that I was predestined (by His foreknowledge of me) to be in Him and part of His family. Hope you're well. Peace. r

So much time wasted, but perhaps time never wasted with trust in Him. We farmers plow ever onwards.

I JOINED AUTHORSDEN.COM IN 2009 AND RONALD WAS ALREADY HERE WHEN I JOINED. I ALWAYS APPRECIATE AND ENJOY A REVIEW FROM RONALD. HE IS SO OPEN AND COMPLETELY HONEST. I LOVE HIM AND I KEEP HIM IN MY PRAYERS AND AM SO GLAD THAT THROUGH AUTHOR'S DEN WE ARE FRIENDS AND VERY GOOD NEIGHBORS.

WELL, THAT SAID AND...JUST TO ANSWER RONALD'S QUESTION; '...I WOULD...' AND I AM NOT OUT OF MY MIND(-: AT LEAST...NOT YET (-:

AND TO RESPOND FURTHER; I, NOR ANYONE ELSE, WHO IS FOLLOWING JESUS 'HAVE' TO STAY WITH JESUS. BY THIS I MEAN; GOD IS NOT STANDING OVER US WITH A CHASTENING ROD 'MAKING' US ABIDE WITH HIM. AND, INDEED, THIS IS WHAT'S SO BEAUTIFUL ABOUT OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM...FREEDOM!!! WE CAN WALK AWAY FROM HIM ANY TIME WE WANT TO! HOW ABOUT THAT? WE FOLLOW JESUS BECAUSE WE 'WANT' TO...BECAUSE, WE 'CHOOSE' TO. WITH HIM WE WALK IN THE LIGHT OF OUR GOD-GIVEN FREE-WILL, PERPETUALLY... AND THE BALL IS 'ALWAYS' IN OUR COURT. AMEN.

NOW...THE QUESTION IS; WHY? EACH PERSON'S STORY/REASON IS DIFFERENT, AS WE ALL COME FROM DIFFERENT WALKS/AVENUES OF LIFE, BUT FOR ME...

I HAVE A POEM POSTED ENTITLED...'NOBODY ELSE', WHICH ANSWERS THIS QUESTION. AND ALSO ANOTHER ONE ENTITLED...'SHALL WE GO ON?'.

WITH MUCH...LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Beautifully written, but who in their right mind would want to live entirely "according to God's purpose?" Predestined and preordained? No free will whatsoever? Just a slave going through life living the way He wants?

That kind of captivity, allowing exactly no freedom, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Ron
